I started as an engineer. I picked up a camera in 1992, found wildlife in 1996, and began teaching in 2003. In 2013 I left the corporate job to do this full time.

How long does it take to get through?
There's no deadline and no schedule. Most students work through the core material in four to six weeks, but you keep lifetime access, so plenty of people return to a camera-specific course years later when they change bodies.
Do I need expensive equipment?
No. Start with whatever camera you already own. A large part of what I teach is how to get more out of the gear in your hands, and there's a full course on choosing your next camera and lens for when you're ready.
Is this only for wildlife photographers?
No. Wildlife is what I'm known for, but the library covers fundamentals, composition, exposure, light, camera operation and post-processing. Those apply to travel, street, portrait, event and product work equally.
I'm a complete beginner. Will I keep up?
Yes. The fundamentals course assumes no prior knowledge and builds step by step. Beginner with a kit lens or advanced on full-frame, both belong here.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. After completing each course you receive a certificate signed by me.
